How do I make an appointment? You can email or call to request an appointment, see what day and times are best for you and I'll see if its available. At this time also let me know how many are in the sitting and of anything special you want to create.
What can I expect? You come to my studio and we will talk and let the kids get comfortable. We can discuss backdrops choices, you let me know if there's anything "special" you are trying to capture or recreate, maybe something you've seen on the website. We can then begin your sitting; you will have plenty of time, no rush here!!!
How long do appointments usually run? Your session can last 30 minutes or 1 hour depending on the subject. Newborns and toddlers take the longest, while older children take the shortest. Your session is never rushed no matter how old the subject may be.
When can I see my portraits? Your portraits will be posted in an online gallery within 1-2 weeks of your sitting. Your printed proofs they will be ready approximately 2 weeks after your session and will be numbered on the back for easy reordering. I will call you to schedule pickup and viewing of the proofs, and if you place your order when viewing the proofs you will recieve a 10% discount on your entire order! Your gallery will remain online for approximately 6 weeks for you to order from and to share with family and friends. I do keep all images on file however after 6 weeks there will be an additional 20.00 processing fee added to your order.
I want digital files to put on my computer, Do you sell digital images? You will receive a free proof CD with your proofs, it contains copyrighted files of the proofs for you to put on My Space, Face Book, etc. Please note that all collages are available by print only; no collages will be included on the CD. I also offer a copyright released CD at an additional cost.
How long does it take until I receive my portraits? After you place your order it takes 1-2 weeks, You can choose to have your prints picked up or mailed directly to you. (During the holidays it may take longer.)
What should we wear? Newborns are best all natural, Parents are asked to bring black shirts. Wait to feed the baby here so that they will sleep better. Bring extra bottles if bottle feeding. Feel free to bring blankets, hats, wraps or anything you would like in your portraits.
Toddlers, anything that's fun, hats are always GREAT! Older children anything that says "me" PERSONALITY! Make sure you bring a drink and a snack {nothing chocolate} gold fish are good. Toddlers like to take breaks and that's ok!
For families, try to coordinate, 2 or 3 colors that go together will look best. Browse the portfolio for ideas.
